World Mental Health Day this year focused on young people and mental health in a changing world. In support of this a new set of resources for young people’s wellbeing was launched: the #HandsUp4HealthyMinds toolkit. We hope you find this toolkit helpful for supporting young people – not just on World Mental Health Day but all year round.
Mental ill health often starts in young adulthood. It’s vital that we give young people access to the support they need to grow up happy, healthy and resilient. The #HandsUp4HealthyMinds toolkit is designed to give you a set of bitesize facts and tips on the mental health of young people aged 8-24. It’s filled with practical tips, links and downloadable content for parents, schools, colleges, universities, youth organisations and practitioners, as well as some self-care tips for young people themselves.
If you find the toolkit useful, please share it online or offline with friends, family, colleagues, and anyone you know who works or lives with young people-so we are all better equipped to support their mental health in a changing world.
You can access the tool kit and an array of support on the following website: https://mhfaengland.org/mhfa-centre/campaigns/world-mental-health-day-2018/_cldee=Y2puQGh1cndvcnRoc2Nob29sLm9yZy51aw%3d%3d&recipientid=contact-1a28b91f2a63e711810be0071b66d061-81c696fb7e5c4269888a378b07720a37&esid=9be92be2-99b6-e811-814c-e0071b668081&urlid=2
